The following are the requisites for successful human resource planning
- Human Resource Planning must be recognized as an important part of corporate planning. The planner of human resources must, therefore, be aware of the corporate objectives.
- Support of top-level management is also very essential.
- Human Resource Planning responsibilities should be centralized in order to coordinate the views of different management levels.
- Human resource records must be up-to-date, complete, and readily available.
- The time range of the plan must be long enough to permit any remedial action.
- The techniques of planning should be able to provide accurate decisions on HR.
- Plans should be made by experienced and skilled persons.
- Data collecting and analysis techniques of planning and ‘the plans’ themselves to be constantly revised and improved in the light of experience.
