Whose head Devendranath Tagore, who was a senior leader of the Brahmo Samaj, was a very settled and social life person. His wife, Shardadevi, was a very straightforward and domestic lady. On 7 May 1861, his son Ratna was received. Whose name was Rabindranath, this was his youngest son. Growing up, he also became famous by the name of Gurudev.

His father was devoted to the society from the very beginning. That's why he wanted to make Rabindranath ji also a barrister. While he was interested in literature, Rabindranathji's father enrolled him in the University of London in 1878, but due to lack of interest in barrister studies, he returned in 1880 without taking a degree.

After the tireless efforts of Rabindranath Tagore, Shantiniketan got the status of a university. In which many students of literary arts studied.

  • Rabindranath Tagore was honored with many achievements or honors in his life, but the most prominent was "Gitanjali". In 1913, Rabindranath Tagore was awarded the "Nobel Prize" for Gitanjali.

  • Rabindranath Tagore has given the national anthem to India and to Bangladesh, as his greatest honor, which is a symbol of immortality. On every important occasion, the national anthem is sung in which, "Jana-Gana-Mana Hai" of India and "Amar Sonar Bangla" of Bangladesh.


  • Not only this, Rabindranath Tagore met a great scientist like Albert Einstein thrice in his life who used to call Rabindranath Tagore as Rabbi Tagore.
