Early Life

The former Youngest  Dept. Chief  Minister Of Rajasthan Sachin Rajesh Pilot was born in 7th September 1977 in Saharanpur City of Uttar Pradesh.  He is the son of former Telecommunication minister of India late. Rajesh Pilot (Congress Leader) and Rama Pilot (Congress Leader). His ancestral village is Vaidpura in Noida (Uttar Pradesh). And belongs to the Gurjar community.

 

Qualification


  • He studied at Air Force Bal Bharati school New Delhi,
  • He holds Bachelors Of Art’s (BA) Degree from St. Stephens College, University Of Delhi,
  • Diploma in Marketing from  I.M.T. Ghaziabad
  • Master’s in Business Administrative (MBA) in Multinational management and finance from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.

Since his childhood, Sachin wanted to follow the footsteps of his father and wanted to be an Air force pilot; But due to his weak eyesight, he could not qualify. However, Sachin was passionate about flying that he took a private flying license without telling his father. After he graduated from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, He was employed with Delhi bureau of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and then with American Multinational Corporation General Motors for two years. After an MBA from Wharton business school, he wanted to become a banker.

 

Relationship

 While he was studying at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, he met his love life Sarah Abdullah Khan; the Daughter of Former Chief  Minister(C.M) of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah and sister of former Chief Minister (C.M) of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah. Sachin Pilot married Sarah Abdullah on 15th January 2004.


Award And Nominations

  • On 6th September 2012, he becomes the first Indian Minister to hold the position of Union Minister and an officer of the Territorial Army.

Political Activities And Achievement

  • In  2004 Lok Sabha election, Pilot was elected from the Dausa constituency. At the age of 26, he becomes the youngest Member of Parliament (MP) in India.
  • In 2006, Pilot was a member of Lok Sabha’s Standing Committee on Home Affairs and member of the Consultative Committee in Ministry of Civil Aviation.
  • In 2009 Lok Sabha election, he defeated the Bhartiya Janta Party’s Kiran Maheswari by a margin of 76,000 votes and won seat Ajmer and become Union Minister of State for Communication And IT.
  • In 2012 he become of Corporate Affairs in the second Manmohan Singh Ministry. And become the first Union Minister of India to Commissioned as an Officer in the Territorial Army.
  • In 2014 Lok Sabha election, he was again nominated from the Ajmer constituency and was defeated by a margin of 1,71,983 votes by Bhartiya Janta Party’s sitting MLA Sanwarlal Jat.
  • In 2014 he was appointed the president of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.
  • In 2018 After Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election, Sachin Pilot becomes the youngest Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
  • On 12 July 2020 he claimed that he had the support of 30 MLA’s and Ashok Gehlot’s government in Rajasthan was in minority. An aide of  Pilot’s indicated that he would not be joining the Bhartiya Janta Party.
